Andrew has been a founder and an advisor to a number of venture capital backed companies in the Biomedical and Cleantech fields. Andrew has a core specialization in the commercialization of public sector research, having led spin outs from ANSTO, CSIRO, various CRC’s and Universities across Australia.

Prior to joining Stone Ridge, Andrew was an advisor to the Commonwealth’s Commercializing Emerging Technologies program. Whilst in this role, Andrew assisted over 10 companies raise in excess of $40M of venture finance and achieve a variety of commercial outcomes including in / out licenses and trade sale.

Andrew holds a BSc from the University of Western Australia, a MSc from Wageningen in the Netherlands, has completed the AVCAL Foundation course in Venture Capital and the Berkeley HAAS school of managements BioExecutive program. Andrew is a member of the Independent Advisory Experts Group to the WA State Governments $36.5M Low Energy Emissions Demonstration Fund.
